Me and my family lives in Gothenburg on the west-coast of Sweden.
I started working with computers back in 1985 and have been ever since. Now latest years with Microsoft Dynamics AX, a business system for middle to upper-middle size companies.
My first website did see the light in 1998 and was mostly about Combat Boat 90H, a swedish coastal vessel for the swedish navy. I did a freelance model in 1:14 scale of it and published the progress as I was building it. Second web-site was mostly about model trains, "LaurellTrains.se" but that has moved here now. After that I started one after the other and now I have a long list of them... See first page of this site for a presentation.
ScaleModels is my major hobby today. I have had my interest for trains since teenage. For a very short time all trains were of interest, but soon I did get in contact with narrow gauge trains and specially military field railways. Since then this and small industrial railways has been my prototype for all my models.
As a child I did collect matchboxes. There labels are almost as many as there are stamps. This and the feeling of a real small wooden box with matches, early got to me. Not the newer ones which was made of paper. I never used my matches, I did handle them with utmost care. Later then trains did take over, of course a match factory was my number one industry for my trains.
In periods I also had a special love for model boats, I still do, but I do not like to have to many projects going on at the same time. Therefore boats has to wait a couple of years. It might come back some day...
For many years I was an armchair modeller. When raising a family with now three teenage boys, time are scarce. But now and then I had been lucky to fulfil a model project. Also, the house we live in now is the first place there I actually had room for a real layout. Previously it has been mostly TimeSavers and display sets. On these new pages I will continue to present new and old projects of mine.
